

Terms and Conditions at The Grange Clinic, Chester
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SURGICAL PROCEDURES
These Terms and Conditions of Business ("Terms and Conditions") apply to the supply of services by Personal Health Service Ltd (registration no. 12388291) trading as The Grange Clinic of 1 Hoole Road, Chester CH2 3NQ (“Clinic”). In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and the contents of other literature provided by the Clinic to the Patient, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
- DEFINITIONS AND INTERPRETATION
In these Terms and Conditions, the following words and expressions shall have the meanings set against them:
Balance: That portion of the Fee for a Procedure that remains unpaid after payment of a deposit or partial payment.
Confirmation Pack: The Clinic's standard email confirming the booked Procedure, including type, fee and date.
Clinician: A Nurse, Surgeon, Doctor and/or Anaesthetist (as applicable).
Consultation: A consultation with a Surgeon regarding a contemplated Procedure.
Consultation Fee: The fee payable for the Consultation.
Doctor: A medical practitioner registered with the General Medical Council (GMC).
Fee: The fee charged by the Clinic for the Procedure.
Nurse: A nurse registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
Procedure: The surgical procedure arranged by the Clinic and performed by a Surgeon.
Surgeon: A medical practitioner registered with the GMC and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (or equivalent).
- THE CLINIC’S OBLIGATIONS
The Clinic shall:
- Ensure the Procedure is carried out by a qualified Surgeon.
- Satisfy itself that the Surgeon holds appropriate qualifications, registration and professional indemnity insurance.
- Provide or arrange suitable facilities for the Procedure.
- Provide reasonable information to enable the Patient to understand the Procedure.
- THE PATIENT’S OBLIGATIONS
The Patient shall:
- Read and understand all Procedure information provided.
- Comply with all pre‑ and post‑operative instructions.
- Return all required medical and psychological forms at least two weeks before surgery.
- Make timely payment in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
- Ask questions to ensure full understanding before proceeding.
- SURGEON RELATIONSHIP
The Surgeon has a direct professional relationship with the Patient and is legally responsible for all clinical aspects of the Procedure, including consent, suitability assessment, risks, complications, and aftercare. Surgeons are independent contractors and not employees of the Clinic.
- PAYMENTS
- Consultation fee: £190–£250 payable at booking.
- £500 deposit required to secure a Procedure date.
- Balance due at least 14 days prior to surgery.
- If surgery is booked within 30 days, full payment is due at booking.
- CANCELLATION
Cancellation by Patient:
- Consultation fees refundable with 48 hours’ notice.
- 14‑day cooling‑off period after consultation (subject to stated deductions).
- Cancellation fees apply depending on notice period (up to full fee within 14 days).
Cancellation by Clinic/Clinician:
- Surgery may be cancelled if medically inappropriate or forms/payments not received.
- Refunds subject to stated deductions.
- No reimbursement of additional expenses.
- POSTPONEMENT
Postponement charges apply depending on notice period.
Fees may be retained if rescheduling does not occur.
The Clinic may postpone for medical or administrative reasons and will offer alternative dates.
- RE‑ADMISSION POLICY
Cosmetic results cannot be guaranteed.
Revision surgery is at the discretion of the operating Surgeon.
Reduced fees may apply in certain circumstances, subject to policy conditions.
Refunds are not offered for dissatisfaction with outcome.
Specific provisions apply to breast implants, otoplasty, and fat grafting procedures.
- COMPLAINTS
Complaints should be raised with the Patient Advisor within one year of the Procedure.
If unresolved, the Clinic’s formal Complaints Procedure applies.
The Clinic subscribes to ISCAS for independent review.
- CONFIDENTIALITY AND DATA PROTECTION
Patient data is processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018.
Data may be shared with Clinicians as necessary for treatment.
Sensitive data will not otherwise be disclosed except as required by law.
- NO VARIATION
No variation of these Terms is valid unless agreed in writing and signed by a Director of the Clinic.
- THIRD PARTY RIGHTS
No third party shall have rights to enforce these Terms.
- LEGAL JURISDICTION
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
