Mrs Aenone Harper-Machin
Mb, ChB, MSc, FRCS(Plast)

Mrs Harper-Machin is a Fellowship-trained plastic surgeon and Honourary Senior Lecturer working in one of the busiest specialist plastic surgery departments in Europe. Based at Whiston Hospital she is also the Chair of the regional Skin Cancer Specialist MDT for the Cheshire & Merseyside region (which also covers north Wales and the Isle of Man).

She graduated with an Honours Degree from the University of Liverpool and undertook her post-graduate training at centres including Bristol, Yorkshire, south Wales, Manchester & Merseyside. She completed a specialty fellowship in reconstructive microsurgery at the University of Toronto, Canada - primarily based at the world-renowned Princess Margaret Cancer Center.

Mrs Harper-Machin is published in the academic literature, and has recently co-authored a chapter in the Biomedical Visualisation textbook. She has lectured throughout the world and has been adopted as a key advisor to the facial reconstruction society due to her expert knowledge in this field. She is the specialty lead for plastic surgery at the University of Liverpool.

Mr Jamie Barnes

Consultant Plastic & Aesthetic Surgeon

Mr Jamie Barnes
MB, ChB, MRes, (Merit), FRCS(Plast)

Mr Barnes is a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon. His NHS practice is based in the Merseyside Regional Plastic Surgery Unit at St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust where he specialises in microsurgical breast reconstruction. He also practices in the NHS at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust where he provides complex, revisional and reconstructive breast surgery through the breast unit. He is on the GMC Specialist register for Plastic Surgery.

Mr Barnes graduated from The University of Manchester Medical School in 2009 and trained in Plastic Surgery in the North West of England. He completed subspecialty fellowship training in microsurgical reconstruction of the breast and head and neck at Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospitals, London and a further fellowship in Facial, Breast and Body Aesthetic Surgery at the Wellington Hospital, London.

Mr Adel Y Fattah

Mr Adel Y Fattah is an experienced British Plastic Surgeon, working in the NHS. Graduating from Cambridge, he has undertaken extensive training in plastic surgery in London and North America with both nationally and internationally recognised experts in the field.

This included craniofacial training at Great Ormond Street Hospital and the internationally renowned Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto. His specialist interest in aesthetics is specifially aimed at producing a balanced rejuvenation. By taking into account all aspects of a patients wishes and circumstances, a bespoke treatment plan can be formulated to give the best outcomes.

He has completed the specialist breast surgery fellowship in the UK, and was the first british-trained surgeon to achieve a Distinction for the post graduate Diploma of Aesthetic Surgery from the University of London.

Mr Fattah is committed to teaching and has taught alongside distinguished international faculty at facial aesthetic courses. His research is also widely published and has been presented internationally as well as awarded numerous prizes.

He works as an NHS Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Alder Hey Hospital, Liverpool and is a full member of BAPRAS.

MISs Parneet Gill

Miss Parneet Gill is a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic surgeon with a specialist interest in skin cancer, laser surgery and facial aesthetic surgery. Her NHS practice is based in St Helens Hospital, STHK NHS Trust, where she undertakes specialist Mohs surgery for skin cancers in one of 2 plastic surgery-led Mohs units in the UK. She undertakes complex facial surgery with a niche interest in oculoplastic reconstruction. She also offers upper and lower blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), open brow lift, facelift and neck lift procedures. 

Her laser practice deals with tertiary referrals for many skin concerns, including acne scarring, vascular malformations, burns scarring, keloid/hypertrophic scarring, congenital lesions, benign lesions, rhinophyma and skin rejuvenation. These are offered alongside skin care regimes to maximise the improvement for each patient.

Miss Gill graduated from the University of Birmingham Medical School in 2007 and completed her postgraduate surgical training in plastic surgery centres in Birmingham, London, Scotland and Merseyside. She completed sub-speciality fellowships in oculoplastic surgery at Queens Hospital Ophthalmology Unit in Nottingham, laser observer-ship at Morriston Hospital Swansea Laser Unit, Mohs and laser TIG fellowship at STHK NHS Trust and Aesthetic training within the North West Plastic surgery rotation. 

International observerships and fellowships undertaken in Toronto General Hospital, Buncke Clinic San Francisco, Middlemore Hospital New Zealand, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA Los Angeles, Texas Tech University Texas and Gandhi Hospital Panjab India.

Miss Gill has completed a Leadership for Surgeons Course at the renowned Harvard University in Boston, USA. She has a keen interest in leadership and is currently the Vice Chair of the Mohs SIAG group.

Ms ELLY bREUNING

Ms Breuning is a UK-trained Plastic Surgeon with seven years’ experience as a Consultant at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. She completed a year-long fellowship at the British Columbia Children’s Hospital in Vancouver, Canada before commencing her consultant practice. She has a special interest in birthmarks, particularly vascular skin lesions such as infantile haemangioma and capillary malformation as well as other vascular anomalies. 

She qualified as a doctor from University of Wales College of Medicine in 2000 and completed Basic Surgical training and Plastic Surgery specialty training in Birmingham. This included 2 years of research in burn injury leading to a MD degree, and an 11 month fellowship in Hand Surgery. She gained a great deal of experience in wound management and reconstruction whilst treating soldiers from the Afghanistan conflict at the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine, based in Birmingham during this time.

As a Consultant Paediatric Plastic Surgeon at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool from 2016-2022, she gained skills in treating skin lesions such as capillary malformation, spider naevus, epidermal naevus and traumatic tattoos with Lasers. She has a particular interest in performing laser and minor surgical treatments under local anaesthesia, where possible, in children from as young as 4 years old.

Ms Breuning is a warm, friendly doctor who takes the time to listen to your concerns, explain your condition and discuss the treatment options, to ensure a treatment plan that is tailored to your needs. She is also skilled at including children in the discussion about their condition and explaining treatment to them, in order to gain their trust.

Mr Kodumuri

Mr Preetham Kodumuri

Mr Preetham Kodumuri is an experienced consultant orthopaedic surgeon practising in Wrexham. He specialises in the hand and wrist areas with such conditions as carpal tunnel syndrome and Dupuytren's contracture. He also specialises in wrist arthroscopy, tendon reconstruction and repair surgery, small joint arthroplasty, and Wide Awake Hand Surgery procedures.

In 2004, Mr Kodumuri received his basic medical qualification from Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences in India, which he subsequently relocated to the UK and undertook his basic medical training in the East Midlands. In 2018, he received his Certificate of Completion of Training in Nottingham and Derby, then Mr Kodumuri went on to receive the rare achievement of being awarded both the British and European Hand Surgery Diplomas in 2019. Mr Kodumuri was also awarded international travelling fellowships to internationally-recognised hand units at the Mayo Clinic, Christine Kleinert Hand Institute, and Ganga Hospitals in India, where he broadened his expertise in the field.

Mr Kodumuri has a passion for sustainability and working to have a more green-friendly healthcare. Mr Kodumuri is developing pathways to and surgical practices with an aim to reduce the carbon footprint within the NHS and medical practice.

"We are hugely excited about this success as this will make a big difference to the way we treat our patients in hand surgery across North Wales," Mr Kodumuri commented on the challenge.

Orthopaedic Upper limb Surgeon

Mr Stephen Lipscombe

Stephen is an Orthopaedic Upper limb surgeon with a specialist interest in hand and wrist surgery, training and working within the Mersey deanery having merited an Honours degree at Liverpool Medical School.

The majority of his Orthopaedic surgical experience involves Upper limb surgery, having finalised his training with one of the few nationally recognised Advanced Training post fellowships in Hand/wrist surgery and successfully completing the British Diploma in Hand surgery.

His surgical practice includes traumatic injuries to the upper limb and elective hand/wrist surgery including nerve disorders (carpal tunnel syndrome and ulnar nerve procedures), joint replacement (base of thumb, finger joints, and wrist arthroplasty), Dupuytrens disease (collagenase injection, fasciectomy, and skin grafting), and minimally invasive wrist arthroscopy.

Stephen is a keen sportsmen and the majority of his leisure time is spent training for Olympic distance triathlon, competing in Chirk, Chester, and Salford events each year. He lives locally in Chester with Chester Zoo being one of his favourite destinations.

Mr Jamal Qasem

Jamal Qasem has treated people suffering from a diverse range of clinical conditions for the past 24 years. Such conditions include neuro muscular and musculo skeletal disorders affecting all parts of the body, especially spinal injuries or deformities traumatic injuries and congenital anomalies and the diabetic foot.

As a Consultant, he offers a range of aids and devices to relieve pain, correct and/or compensate the alignment of the body, caused by impairment to nerves, bones and muscles, whilst improving mobility and function.

Mrs Sarah McConville
RGN

Sarah graduated in adult nursing from Liverpool John Moore’s University in 2014 and has since worked in the field of plastic surgery. She has worked in multiple roles including post-operative staff nurse, and then evolved into a plastic surgery specialist nurse role within skin cancer care. Sarah has been involved in academic research, and was recently published in the Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.

Sarah now specialises in aesthetics, she is available in clinic for treatments such as anti-wrinkle injections, vitamin injections, dermal filler, lip augmentations, fat dissolving injections, Profhilo, chemical peels and other treatments. Sarah specialises in ‘the natural look’.

Izzi is an NMC registered Adult Nurse who studied at Liverpool John Moore’s University. She has since gone on to work as a staff Nurse in the dermatology and rheumatology sector of the NHS. She has experience treating patients with auto-immune and severe skin conditions and a passion for helping patients gain back their confidence and self esteem.

Izzi is now joining us at the grange clinic as a post operative and aesthetics Nurse. She is specialised in medical aesthetics and skin treatments and her focus is on achieving natural looking results whilst offering suitable treatment plans to prevent and rewind ageing, enhance confidence and balance and harmonise the face.

She is available in clinic for treatments such as anti-wrinkle injections, dermal filler including full face rejuvenation’s and lip augmentations, skin boosters, chemical peels, medical grade skin care and other non-surgical treatments.

Michelle Crumpton Skerry is an accomplished Clinic Manager with a Master's in Human Resources. She has extensive international experience managing MediSpa and Acupuncture doctors, fitness professionals, massage therapists, and skincare specialists on cruise ships.

Starting as a hairdresser, Michelle advanced to Spa & Wellness Manager, overseeing complex operations and enhancing team performance. Her leadership fosters a collaborative environment, achieving high client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
