Mrs Harper-Machin is a Fellowship-trained plastic surgeon and Honourary Senior Lecturer working in one of the busiest specialist plastic surgery departments in Europe. Based at Whiston Hospital she is also the Chair of the regional Skin Cancer Specialist MDT for the Cheshire & Merseyside region (which also covers north Wales and the Isle of Man).
She graduated with an Honours Degree from the University of Liverpool and undertook her post-graduate training at centres including Bristol, Yorkshire, south Wales, Manchester & Merseyside. She completed a specialty fellowship in reconstructive microsurgery at the University of Toronto, Canada - primarily based at the world-renowned Princess Margaret Cancer Center.
Mrs Harper-Machin is published in the academic literature, and has recently co-authored a chapter in the Biomedical Visualisation textbook. She has lectured throughout the world and has been adopted as a key advisor to the facial reconstruction society due to her expert knowledge in this field. She is the specialty lead for plastic surgery at the University of Liverpool.

Mr Barnes is a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon. His NHS practice is based in the Merseyside Regional Plastic Surgery Unit at St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust where he specialises in microsurgical breast reconstruction. He also practices in the NHS at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust where he provides complex, revisional and reconstructive breast surgery through the breast unit. He is on the GMC Specialist register for Plastic Surgery.
Mr Barnes graduated from The University of Manchester Medical School in 2009 and trained in Plastic Surgery in the North West of England. He completed subspecialty fellowship training in microsurgical reconstruction of the breast and head and neck at Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospitals, London and a further fellowship in Facial, Breast and Body Aesthetic Surgery at the Wellington Hospital, London.
Sarah graduated in adult nursing from Liverpool John Moore’s University in 2014 and has since worked in the field of plastic surgery. She has worked in multiple roles including post-operative staff nurse, and then evolved into a plastic surgery specialist nurse role within skin cancer care. Sarah has been involved in academic research, and was recently published in the Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.
Sarah now specialises in aesthetics, she is available in clinic for treatments such as anti-wrinkle injections, vitamin injections, dermal filler, lip augmentations, fat dissolving injections, Profhilo, chemical peels and other treatments. Sarah specialises in ‘the natural look’.
Mr Carruthers offers clients help with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), general anxiety disorders, stress, panic attacks, anger management, bereavement, self-harm, low self-esteem, social anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), suicidal ideation, teenage difficulties.
His areas of expertise and techniques offered include: cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), exposure therapy, person centred therapy, psychodynamic therapy, eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing trauma therapy (EMDR), mindfulness, solution focus therapy, and visual guided imagery and mindfulness.
The fee to see Mr Carruthers is £75 per one hour session.
Michelle has been working internationally for the past five years as a Spa & Wellness Manager, managing MediSpa & Acupuncture doctors, as well as fitness professionals, massage therapists, and skin care specialists from all over the world on international cruise ships.
She started her career as a hairdresser and was promoted through the businesses to become a Spa & Wellness Manager.
